Introduction
Made up of three palaces that respectively date from the 14th, 19th and 20th centuries, the Hotel Danieli has a long and unique history of hosting visitors looking to experience the majestic city of Venice. The Palazzo Dandolo built in Venetian Gothic style was commissioned by the noble Dandolo family who served as the Doges of Venice, the Palazzo Casa Nuova was once Venice’s treasury and the Palazzo Danieli Excelsior was a guest house and hotel. Bought by Giuseppe Dal Niel in 1822, part of the palazzo was converted in to a hotel and fittingly named “Danieli” after the nickname he used. Today the Hotel Danieli, is one of Venice’s most famous properties ideally located a few steps from the Bridge of Sighs and Piazza San Marco. The precious artworks, gorgeous marble and antique furniture create a truly palatial atmosphere blended immaculately with the contemporary comforts to indulge even the most demanding of travelers.
