This tour will take you on a guided exploration of three historic Dalmatian locations – Split, Salona, and Trogir. You will begin with a visit to Split, the region’s largest city that was first founded as the ancient Greek colony of Aspálathos sometime during the 3rd or 2nd century BC. During your time in the city you will have the chance to see the impressive UNESCO listed Diocletian’s palace, explore the history of the beautiful Old Town, and take-in the city’s vibrant energy. Located right next to Split you will find the ruined ancient Roman city of Salona that was destroyed in the centuries that followed its glory years. While not much remains of the once majestic capital city of the province of Dalmatia, it is a true archaeological gem with a fascinating past worth discovering. You will conclude your journey with a visit to Trogir, a small town set within medieval walls on a tiny island that dates back to the 3rd century BC.
